Description

This bundle includes a complete set of highly detailed 3D printable models inspired by actual buildings in Oosterbeek, Netherlands — the epicenter of the Battle of Arnhem during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. These structures capture the essence of the small Dutch village where British airborne troops fought bravely to hold their ground against overwhelming German forces.

The set contains:

  • Oude Kerk (Old Church) – The historic church where British paratroopers made their final stand. This model represents the structure in its pre-war state, with its distinctive tower and layout. A battle-damaged version is currently in development and will be released in the next few days.

  • Row House (Vogelstraat-style) – Based on the red-brick homes built in rows of 4–5, typical of Vogelstraat. These buildings were part of the urban battlefield, witnessing some of the fiercest street fighting as troops withdrew under fire.

  • Detached Dutch Cottage – A standalone civilian house, representative of the modest residential architecture of the region. Ideal for expanding your tabletop layout beyond the urban core.

This set offers all you need to create a historically rich and visually immersive Market Garden scenario. Whether for diorama building or wargaming in 28mm or 32mm scale, these models form the foundation of a realistic Arnhem/Oosterbeek perimeter defense.

As a personal note: I visited Oosterbeek in 2005 as part of an international gathering organized by the Subsim forum. Standing in front of the very buildings featured here, including the Oude Kerk, left a lasting impression and inspired this tribute to the historical legacy of the battle.
